36 days of type ‘21

For 36 Days of Type 2021 I had a single rule for myself: “Don’t overthink it”.

I created a single glyph every day, which focus on shape and negative space which resulted in 36 characters with each their very own personality, some playful and round, and some pointy and abrupt. Yet they all feel like parts of the same puzzle.
For this years edition I hand drew every letter first and later vectorised it. This helped me with creating type with an organic, human feel.
